ChatGPT Permission Prompts

Follow the steps below to review and approve the required permissions so you can begin using ChatGPT with Truss.

  1. Make sure you're a full-access user in Truss. If your firm requires two-factor sign-in, have that set up first.
  2. In ChatGPT, add Truss as a connector using your Truss web address followed by /mcp.
  3. Sign in to Truss and click Authorize. This first approval lets ChatGPT view your contacts and projects.
  4. The first time you ask ChatGPT to open files or create a task, Truss will show one more approval screen for that permission. Click Authorize again.
  5. ChatGPT may also ask you to confirm before it creates a task. That's ChatGPT's own safety check. Tasks it creates show up on your client's task list.
