✍️ Creating the Template

Once clicking this you have the option to create new template. We have a bunch of options and features beyond just the Subject and Body of the email, shown below:

  1. Set the Email Template Name. This is an internal name for your own identification of the template.
  2. You can choose to set a Subject Line (or create one with every use of the template).
  3. Fill out the body of the email here.
  4. We have a few merge fields that we can use to automatically fill in data.
    1. [email_signature] will attach the signature you've added to Truss.
    2. [first_name], [last_name], [email] and [entity] will gather and fill the data from the recipient's records.
    3. [link], [link: customized button text] and [link: customized button text](https://my-external-url.com) all add a graphic button to the email the client can use to access URLS. The first two go to an attached project, while the third can support any website URL.
  5. You can set a template as a default invite email.
  6. Override our default file share and K-1 share emails with a template by selecting one of these options.
  7. You can set a template as the default email sent to clients after return assembly.
  8. To further narrow it down, you can set the Assembly default to a specific entity type such as Household or LLC.
  9. Once you are finished with the template, click Save.
