Stripe Setup for Payments

Follow along with this guide to help you get Stripe connected with your account to begin processing payments for your invoices!

📘 If you already have Stripe set up, visit our Manage Payments article.

🏗️ Set Up Payments

  1. To begin the process, click on Payments on the sidebar menu.
  2. This will normally bring you straight to the setup page, but if you have invoices in your system already, click Set Up Payments.

💳 Payment Settings

  1. Pick one of two methods for how the fees are reflected.
    1. "Fee added on top of the invoice" will pass the fees to the client at the time of payment.
    2. "Fees included in the invoice" will take the fees out of the invoice payment, passing nothing to the client.
    3. If you make a choice and later wish to change it, please reach out to Support!
  2. Once you have made your selection, click Save Changes.
  3. Then scroll all the way to the bottom and click Create Stripe Account.
    1. If you already have a Stripe account, don't worry! The prompt will connect you if you use the linked email!

Once you create your Stripe account or connect an existing one, you're all set! You did it! You can visit Manage Payments to learn more about the other features once your account is connected.
