Setting Up a Typeform Integration
Create custom forms to use in Truss
How to set up Typeform Integration - Watch Video
Step 1: Connect Your Typeform Account
- Go to the main menu and navigate to Integrations
- Scroll down and click Typeform
- If you’re already logged into Typeform in your browser, the connection will complete in one click. If not, you’ll be prompted to log in first.
Step 2: Import Your Forms into Truss
- Go to Forms in the main menu
- You’ll see a new bar at the top of the page that displays forms available from your Typeform account
- Select the forms you want to use and add them to Truss
Step 3: Add Required URL Parameters in Typeform
This step is required for each form you import. Without it, completed form submissions will not automatically sync back to Truss or mark the associated task as complete.
- In your Typeform account, open the form you want to configure.
- Click Workflow at the top of the form editor.
- Open the first card in the workflow (the data panel).
- Add all four custom URL parameters listed there.
-
form_task_uuid
-
assignee_id
-
firm_form_token
-
truss_form_id
-
Once you add these parameters, form submissions will flow back into Truss and automatically complete the associated task when a client fills out the form.
📝 Note: If you skip this step, the form will still function — but responses will only appear in Typeform and won’t trigger any actions inside Truss.
Using a Typeform Form as a Task
Once a form has been imported and configured, you can add it to any project:
- Inside a project, click New
- Select Form / Questionnaire
- Choose the Typeform form from the list
The form will be added as a task and sent to the client through their normal project link!
