Truss MCP
Truss hosts a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT can work with your firm's Truss data like clients, engagements, and documents without leaving the conversation.
⚡ How it works
The server runs at https://app2.gettruss.io/mcp and uses OAuth to authorize each connection. When you connect, you sign in with your existing Truss login and approve a consent screen. Your Truss password is never shared with the AI client, and the assistant sees only what your Truss role already allows, scoped to your firm.
Only full-access Truss users can connect.

🛜 What you can do
Once connected, your assistant can look up your firm's contacts, entities, projects, tasks and files. You can check where a return stands, see what a client still owes or has already sent in, and take care of small follow-ups such as asking for a missing document.
🔐 Permissions
A few basic read permissions are granted on the first connection. More granular permissions, like reading documents and write permissions, are asked and approved separately the first time the assistant needs them, so you see exactly when each is requested.

🔌 Connect
Claude (claude.ai, Desktop, mobile): open Settings > Connectors, find Truss in the directory, and click Connect. On Team and Enterprise plans an admin must enable Truss first.
ChatGPT: add Truss from the ChatGPT plugin directory.
⛓️💥 Disconnect or revoke access
Remove the connector in your AI client's settings to disconnect. Revoking there ends the session immediately.
