🪷 UI and Formatting
⌨️ Consistent Email Field Formatting
We standardized delivery email merge-field formatting for merge fields, return links, summaries, closing text, and signatures to keep the client experience uniform.
📨 K-1 Delivery Adjustments
K-1s had a confusing delivery confirmation step, and items weren't being sent. We have changed the behavior to immediately schedule the K-1 delivery with a 30-second undo window.

🤖 API
📜 Added Invoices to API
We have added Add Payment (invoice) tasks to the /v1 API allowing firms to generate invoices without allowing clients to mark them complete before payment.
⚒️ Projects and Tasks
🔁 Recurring Invoices
We now support recurring invoice tasks! These tasks work with existing QuickBooks and Stripe integrations.
📰 Engagement Letter Question Reporting
We can now report on additional engagement letter questions by adding global reporting for Yes/No engagement-letter responses, replacing manual letter-by-letter review.
📥 Firm File Uploads
Firms now have the ability to upload inside a Project without needing to access the Client Link. We also added firm-side AI and visible processing status for files undergoing sorting.
🪓 More Visible Document Splitting
When splitting a document, we now show a spinning indicator on the Unassigned task and added live UI feedback while split documents are temporarily unassigned and being sorted.
🔎 Filter Projects by Document Category
Added a Tasks Document Category to the Advanced Filters, allowing firms to search for Projects according to categorized Tasks inside of them!
🪙 Payments
💳 Save Payment Details
The firm can now choose whether to save a client’s payment details on the Stripe checkout page. This has been added to Payments as part of Payment Settings.
⚙️ Settings & Admin
🎖️ Team Role Sorting and Bulk Updates
- You can now drag and drop Team Roles to reorder the hierarchy. Order, name changes, and deleted roles are updated immediately across Projects.
- Team names can no longer be edited, and we have added an import feature to assign roles in bulk!
🚀 Truss Prep
- We added a Filed and Byron button that appears only when the service is enabled!

🪲 Bug Fixes

🪷 UI and Formatting
- Updated attachment handling so Outlook signature and inline images are excluded from uploads.
- Restored the Refresh action to the desktop sidebar.
- Prevented an issue where changing certain permissions on a user’s profile, like Max AI, would flatten or remove their Advanced AI Email Signature.
- We fixed a permissioning error where non-intake firm users received a ‘not authorized’ warning when forwarded drop-off notifications. We maintained the remaining restrictions while allowing users to view and interact with items sent to them.
⚒️ Projects and Tasks
- Match K-1 files by K-1 filename — Fixed K-1 auto-matching to use the K-1’s identity instead of the return filename, preventing completed K-1 tasks from remaining in To Do.
- Corrected behavior in recurring invoices so the rollover date now generates the correct ‘next date’ and creates the corresponding invoice in QuickBooks Online.
👥 Contacts & Entities
- Cleaned up contact importing to correctly map Spouse flags and prevent blank entries from clearing out existing Spouse fields.
⚙️ Settings and Admin
- Fixed an issue where, when enabling Group Permissions, a default bucket wasn’t generated for all clients, restricting visibility. All firms with Group Permissions will now have a default access Client Group to prevent this.
📨 Email, Reminders, and Messaging
- We found that reminders queue when a user’s email account is disconnected from the Gmail/Outlook integration and, when reconnected, redeliver stale reminders. We set up a gate to limit reminders to the last ~11 hours to prevent unnecessary emails.
🤖 API
- Fixed a visibility issue where task titles in Zapier or other MCP programs were not reading our provided features, creating blank or generic titles. We updated it to provide clear, distinct titles so users know which features they can call.
